All Las Madres Activities
- Preschool and Kindergarten Night
Talk to representatives from local preschools and kindergartens to help you decide which
school is best for your child. Please save the date for Thursday, January 20th from 7:00
p.m.- 9:00 p.m. at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center. More information and a
detailed flyer coming soon!
- Family Festival
Join Las Madres as it hosts a public family event open to the entire community. Past events
have included picnics with many activities and an Easter Egg Hunt.
- Charity Fundraiser
Work together to help raise money for local charities.
- Welcome Event
Attend our annual event that introduces and welcomes new families into the Las Madres community.
These events are planned and managed by individual groups. Occasionally events are subject to
change on short notice because of weather or widespread illness. It is advisable to call and confirm
the scheduled activity if there may be a chance of cancellation
Group Activities
- Field Trips and Tours
Visit fun places like Happy Hollow Park, Children's Discovery Museum, Monterey Bay Aquarium,
Pumpkin Patch, local fire stations and more.
- Arts and Crafts
Finger paints, cut and paste, making Valentine cards or decorating bags, and other seasonal
crafts which are age appropriate.
- Mom's Night Out
Also called MNO which is a special treat for Moms and is very popular and a fantastic
benefit of joining the group. It gives the moms a well deserved break to relax in the company of
other moms and have a wonderful time. MNOs are usually planned once a month and could be either
a dinner out, a movie, shopping, spa days, ceramic painting, or just meeting at a coffee place for
the evening.
- Family Potlucks and Barbecues
These events are organized for the benefit of the entire family and are a great opportunity
for the spouses to meet other families. These events may be organized to celebrate a holiday or
for no reason at all.
- Couples Night Out and Dad's Night Out
Once in a while the groups have a Couples Night Out, which is a chance for the parents
to socialize with other parents without the kids, so book your baby-sitters in advance! Dad's-Night-Outs
give the spouses a chance to get together for pizza or anything else they choose to do.
- Community Support
It is our way of giving back to the community. We donate clothing, baby items, toys,
time or simple friendship. In the past Las Madres has donated thousands of dollars to support various
charity organizations in our local community.
